Xiaomi along with Mi 9 Pro 5G has also unveiled a new concept Mi MIX series smartphone called Mi MIX Alpha 5G.
This particular device sports an impressive 180.6% screen-to-body ratio. This is achieved thanks to its innovative Surround Screen. It has no side buttons and sports very very slim 2.15mm bezels at top and bottom.
The Mi MIX Alpha 5G uses acoustic technology to replace earpiece and proximity sensor. Its side uses pressure-sensitive linear motor to simulate touch of real side buttons. For protection against unwanted touches, it has anti-false-touch technology that deactivates non-active area for dynamic allocation of touch commands.
The smartphones top and bottom area of frame are built using aerospace-grade titanium alloy. Its camera module houses protective cover and is covered with single piece of sapphire glass. The screen is not foldable, just in case if you are wondering.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha 5G features in 108MP primary rear shooter. It has a 1/1.33-inch Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX imaging sensor which uses Tetracell technology to produce brighter 27MP images. It will also support 4-in-1 super pixel to produce large 1.66um pixels under low light conditions. Additional, the smartphone will include 20MP Ultra-Wide angle (117-degree FoV) camera (supports 1.5cm super macro) and 12MP telepho shooter for 2X optical zoom and Dual PD focus.
Other specifications of Mi MIX Alpha 5G includes Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus mobile platform with Adreno 640 GPU. It will come with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage space. Its battery will be of 4050 nano silicone cathode powered cell and will support 40W wired fast charging.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha price will go upwards at 19,999 Yuan ($2,800 / €2,500 / Rs. 1,99,990 approx.), which makes it costlier than Samsung Galaxy Fold. The handset is likely to go on sale in China in December. Number of phone made available will be limited.
