Update 27/4/2022: Xiaomi has officially launched Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet in India. Its 128GB storage model is priced at Rs. 26,999 (Rs. 24,999 introductory) while the 256GB storage version costs Rs. 28,999 (Rs. 26,999 introductory) in India.

It will go on sale in India at Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home Stores and offline channels starting May 3rd. Introductory prices are till May 7th. HDFC bankcard users can get EMI options and Rs. 2000 instant discounts.

Xiaomi has officially announced its latest Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet for global markets. It was first introduced in China last month as Mi Pad 5.

Xiaomi Pad 5 specifications and features

The tablet has dimensions of 254.69 x 166.25 x 6.85 mm and has weight of 511 grams. It has Android 11 based MIUI for Pad OS booting inside.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 specs include 11-inch HDR10 display with Dolby Vision and True Tone colors. It offers 2560 x 1600 WQXGA resolution at 16:10 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling and boasts hardware-level blue light reduction. The tablet has TUV Rheinland low blue light hardware scheme certification.

Under the hood is 2.96Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 860 mobile platform with Adreno 640 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and has options of 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage space.

For optics, Xiaomi has included 8MP front camera with 1080p video recording support. At the back side is a single 13MP shooter with 4K Video recording.

The Pad 5 feature a 8720mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging. It has Quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos and supports USB Type-C Audio.

This Android Tablet also supports Xiaomi Smart Pen which offers 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Its 12.2 grams light weight design allows easy accessibility.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual band (2.4/5GHz), USB Type-C, Bluetooth V5.0 and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo/QZSS.

Price, Availability

The Xiaomi Pad 5 6GB/128GB model is priced at Rs. 349 Euros (US$ 412 / Rs. 30,300 approx.) (299 Euros for first 24 hours). The 6GB/256GB variant costs 399 Euros (US$ 471 / Rs. 34,640 approx.). The tablet is offered in Pearl White and Cosmic Gray colors. It will go on sale in several European markets including France, Italy, Spain and Germany.
