Xiaomi has just announced its latest smartphone in China called the Redmi 3s. It has full metal uni-body design made from magnesium alloy. It has dimensions of 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm, weighs 144 grams and houses fingerprint sensor on the back
The phone features a 5-Inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch. Under the hood is (1.5GHz x 4 + 1.2GHz x 4) Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor (64-Bit) with Adreno 505 GPU.
The mobile phone comes in 2GB LPDDR3 RAM / 16GB eMMC 5.0 internal storage and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM / 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage space. MicroSD Cards up to 128GB are also supported. It has hybrid dual SIM slots (micro + nano / microSD) and runs on MIUI 7 based on Android OS.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3s specs include 13MP primary snapper on the back with LED flash, F/2.0 Aperture, PDAF (focus in just 0.1 seconds), Panorama, HDR and supports 1080p video recording. On the front is 5MP selfie snapper with F/2.2 Aperture, 36 level intelligent beauty face recognition and supports 1080p recording as well.
The cellphone is equipped with 4000 mAh / 4100 mAH (typical) battery inside and is bundled with Electronic compass, Gravity sensor, light sensor, infrared, proximity sensor and gyro. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS+GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3s is priced at 699 yuan (US$ 106 / €94) for the 2GB RAM / 16GB storage model. The 3GB RAM / 32GB storage variant is priced slightly higher at 899 Yuan (US$ 136 / €120). Both the variants will go on sale in China from June 16, 2016 via mi.com and will come in Silver, Dark Grey and Gold colour options. Global roll out details were not revealed.
