YU has launched a new smartphone in India called YUREKA BLACK. For now, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS but is upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat OS soon.
The mobile measures 142.5 x 69.9 x 8.73 mm and weighs 150 grams. It has Hybrid Dual SIM slots (Nano + Nano / MicroSD) and supports 4G VoLTE in India. It has uni-body metal design that offers added durability and slickness.
It has fingerprint sensor embedded on home button. It can unlock the mobile in just 0.2 seconds. There is a 3000 mAh Li-Po built-in battery that is claimed to offer up to 2 days of backup. Statistically speaking, it offers up to 28 hours eG talk time or up to 21 hours talk time 3G and up to 168 hours of standby.
The YU YUREKA BLACK specs include 5-inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 441ppi pixel density and houses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added scratch resistance.
It has an octa-core (1.5GHz A53 x 4 + 1.2GHz A53 x 4) Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) processor with Adreno 505 GPU. The chipset is paired with 4GB RAM, 32GB Internal memory and allows further expansion using microSD card as well.
The smartphone is equipped with 8MP front camera with selfie flash, takes wide selfies and has Beauty mode as well. On the back side is 13MP primary camera with dual LED Flash, Sony IMX258 sensor, PDAF, HDR, Beauty Mode and records 1080p videos as well.
Apart from 4G VoLTE, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, USB OTG, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
The YU YUREKA BLACK is priced at Rs. 8999 ($140 approx.) and comes in Chrome Black (glossy finish) and Matte Black (smooth finish) color options. The handset will be available online from June 6th, 2017 (midnight) exclusively at Flipkart.
