ZTE has detailed HAWKEYE, its Project CSX based smartphone. Company has already showcased this smartphone with eye-tracking at CES 2017.
The mobiles main USP is its eye-tracking capabilities. It can read eye movements and scrolls up/down or left/right. It has support for voice commands as well.
The ZTE Hawekeye specs include 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It will be powered by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 (14nm) processor with Adreno 506 GPU.
It will have 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in memory and MIcroSD card support for further expansion up to 256GB. The handset will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.
The Hawkeye features a dual camera setup on the back with dual tone LED Flash. It consists of 13MP and 12MP cameras. On the front side is an 8MP selfie snapper as well.
Teh smartphone measures 155 x 76.9 x 9.1 mm and weighs 185 grams. It will have fingerprint sensor as well. The hardware will be powered by 3000 mAh built-in battery and will support Qualcomm Quick Charging as well.
The smartphone also houses a dedicated Hi-Fi Audio Chip for optimum audio experience. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
ZTE has already started Kickstarte campaign to raise funds. The Hawekeye is priced at $199 (€186 / Rs. 13520) and is already up for pre-order. It will start shipping in September 2017.
