Lenovo’s ZUK brand, at an event in China, has announced its latest smartphone called ZUK Edge. It has Dual Nano SIM slots and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with ZUI 2.5.
The mobile has dimensions of 142.9 x 74.5 x 7.68 mm and weighs 160 grams. It has U-Touch fingerprint sensor embedded just under the glass panel. It can unlock the cellphone in 0.09 seconds and also supports Paypal, Ali Pay etc. secured payments.
The ZUK Edge Specs include 5.5-Inch 2.5D curved glass display (2.5D glass on the back as well) with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The screen has 85% NTSC Color gamut, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 86.4% screen-to-body ratio and sports 1.63mm narrow fame.
Under the hood is a 2.35GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes in 4GB / 6GB RAM options coupled with 64GB UFS 2.0 storage ROM.
The ZUK Edge features a 13MP primary camera on the back. It is equipped with Samsung ISOCELL sensor, F/2.4 Aperture, 1.34μm pixel size, CAF, PDAF, LED Flash and supports 4K video recording as well. On the front side is an 8MP selfie snapper with F/2.2 Aperture and 1.12μm pixel size.
The smartphone also houses UV Sensor, Altimeter and Heart Rate sensor inside. It can also measure blood oxygen levels. The cellphone is also equipped with 3100 mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
For optimum audio, the handset also features Hi-Fi Audio and Dirac HD sound output. It also supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.1 LE, GPS, USB 3.1 Type-C, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
THe ZUK Edge price starts at 2299 Yuan (US$ 330) for 4GB RAM variant and 2499 Yuan (US$ 360) for 6GB RAM model. It comes in Titanium Black and Ceramic white color options. The smartphone will go on sale in China from January 1st, 2017. I a limited edition Lee Min Ho endorsement variant called ZUK Edge L.
