Lenovo backed ZUK has announced ZUK Z2 Rio Edition in China just ahead of Rio 2016 Olympics. It has the same design like the original ZUK Z2 however, it packs in 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space.
Moreover, it also includes Rio 2016 Olympics themed wallpapers and themes. In terms of specifications, the smartphone packs in 5-Inch LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
It has 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button. The phone has dimensions of 141.65 x 68.88 x 8.45 mm and weighs 149 grams.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with ZUI 2.0. It has Dual nano SIM slots inside and supports 4G LTE with VoLTE. It houses a 3500 mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
The ZUK Z2 Rio Edition specs also include 8MP front camera with F/2.0 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size and 78.9-degree wide viewing angles. On the back side is a 13MP primary snapper with F/2.2 Aperture, ISOCELL sensor, 5P lens, CAF dual-mode focus, EIS and PDAF.
In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.1, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0 etc.
The ZUK Z2 Rio Edition is priced at 1599 Yuan (US$ 240) and comes White and Black color options. It can be ordered in China from August 2, 2016.
