Microsoft has officially launched its 5th Generation Surface Pro 2017 in India. It comes in several models with slightly different specifications are priced accordingly.
Starting with dimensions, the Microsoft Surface Pro measures 292 x 201 x 8.5 mm. The M3 variant weighs 768 grams while I3 an I5 models has weight of 770 grams and 784 grams respectively.
The 2-in-1 is equipped with hinge that has full 165-degree range of motion. It allows one to use it in Studio Mode for easy writing, sketching or drawing.
The Surface Pro 2017 has an option Surface Pen which has 4096 pressure points and new inking capabilities in office apps for more accurate typing.
This newly launched 2-in-1 packs in 12.3-inch Pixel Sense display with 2736 x 1824 pixels resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio and 10-point multi-touch support.
There are several options in Surface Pro 2017 like 7th Generation Intel Core M3 processor with HD Graphics 615 or Intel Core i5 with HD Graphics 620 or Core i7 processor with Iris Plus Graphics 640.
Depending on variant, it has 4GB / 8GB / 16GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB / 512GB SSD storage options. The battery inside offers about 13.5 hours of usage which is 50% more than Surface Pro 4 or 35% more battery life than Apple iPod Pro.
The Surface Pro 2017 specs also include 5MP front camera with 1080p video recording. At the back side is an 8MP main camera with Auto Focus and 1080p video recording. It also comes with 1.6W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium and Stereo microphones.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth V4.1, USB 3.0, Mini Dislay Port, MicroSD card reader, Cover Port and Surface Connect. There are array of sensors like Ambient light, Accelerometer and Gyroscope as well.
The Microsoft Surface Pro with Intel Core M3 SoC, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD costs Rs. 64,999. The Intel Core i5 Model with 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD costs Rs. 79,999. The i5 Variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD is priced slightly higher at Rs. 106,999. The Surface Pro Intel Core i7 variant with Iris Plus Graphics 640, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD is priced at Rs. 133,99. The most expensive Surface Pro 2017 in India with Intel Core i7, Iris Plus Graphics 640, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD carries price-tag of Rs. 182,999.
Its optional accessories like Surface Pro Type cover costs Rs. 10,999. The Surface Pro Signature Type cover is slightly costlier at Rs. 12,999. The Surface Pen (Silver and Charcoal colors) is priced at Rs. 7,999 while the Surface Arc Mouse is priced in India at Rs. 6399.
These new Microsoft Surface Pro models will be available online at Amazon and Flipkart. You can also get it locally at Croma, Reliance, Vijay Sales and and other authorized retailers in India starting today.
