Apple has officially unveiled three new smartwatch along side iPhone 14 series. The lineup includes Apple Watch Series 8, all new Apple Watch SE and first of its kind, the Apple Watch Ultra.
Apple Watch Series 8 features and specs
The Watch Series 8 comes in 41mm and 45mm aluminum stainless steel casing, paired with several sports bands. It comes in LTE options and allows pairing multiple watches on one iPhone using Family setup.
This Apple smartwatch comes with IP6X dust and water resistant rating and is swimproof. It comes with GPS + Cellular connectivity and packs in several features like Emergency SOC, International emergency calling, call detection and crash detection.
The Watch Series 8 feature an always on retina display t hat delivers up to 1000nits brightness. It has features like Heart rate monitoring which detects high and low heart rates and irregular rhythm and sends notification. It can measure ECG and Blood Oxygen with app as well.
Additionally, it has Temperature sensing, Mensural cycle tracking with retrospective ovulation estimates. The smartwatch is powered by WatchOS 9 out of the box and includes Lunar and Metropolitan watch faces.
The Apple Watch Series 8 price starts at Rs. 45,900 in India. It comes in Midnight Black, Starlight and Silver colors.
Apple Watch SE 2022 features and specs
The new Watch SE 2022 model is a cut down version of Watch Series 8. It does have several premium features like Emergency SOC, Fall Detection, Crash detection and international emergency calling.
The Apple Watch SE 2022 is swimproof*. It comes with Retina display (not alwasy-on) that gives you maximum 1000nits brightness. Notably, the wearable lacks any support for Blood Oxgen and ECG app.
The Watch SE comes in 40mm / 44mm casing. It has High and low heart rate notifications, irregular rhythm notifications and cycle tracking. There are GPS + Cellular options
The 2022 Watch SE from Apple has price starting at Rs. 29,900. It has Midnight Black, Starlight and Silver colors.
Apple Watch Ultra specs and features
It is Apple’s latest smartwatch offering for the extremist. It has striking design and caters several adventure focused functions. All the models have LTE support.
Apple says that Watch Ultra has biggest and brightest display yet, featuring an always-on Retina display offers up to 2000nits of brightness. It has special night mode as well.
The Apple Watch Ultra comes in 49mm The Apple Watch Series 8 starts at Rs. 45,900 casing with a flat sapphire front crystal glass on top. It has a dedicated action button (customizable) for better accessibility to several functions.
The wearable comes with three microphones to improve call quality and supports adaptive beamforming to reduce background noise. Additionally, it uses machine learning to cut down wind noise for clear audio.
The battery inside is capable to deliver up to 36 hours on single charge. With its new low-power level mode, the battery life is extended up to 60 hours. Interestingly, Heart rate monitoring and GPS is still available in this mode.
To bring Apple Watch Ultra to next level, it has Depth app which brings redesigned depth gauge and User Interface. It can be used to indicates time, current depth, water temperature, time underwater, and max depth. Oceanic+ turns the Apple Watch Ultra into a dive computer in conjunction with Huish Outdoors. Oceanic+ includes a personalized user profile, dive reports, and a dive logbook that syncs to an iPhone.
The Apple Watch Ultra feature a IP6X water and dust resistant rating and complies with MIL-STD 810H, EN13319 and WR100 grade durability. It has Blood Oxygen and ECG App, Emergency SOC, International Emergency Calling, Fall detection, crash detection and 86-descible Sire to attract attention.
