Lenovo has officially launched two new laptops in India called Yoga Slim 7 Carbon and Yoga Slim 7 Pro. Lenovo also announced its new IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook. All of them were unveiled at Tech World 2021 event.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon
The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon laptop boots on Windows 11 OS. It has 14-inch Samsung OLED display (optional touch screen) with 2880 x 1800 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colors, up to 600nits brightness and TÜV Eye Comfort certification
It gets processing done by AMD Ryzen 5800U processor and Radeon Graphics. The laptop also has NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics option.
Its internals include 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and has up to 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD storage space. Powering its hardware is a 61Wh battery with dual charge on its Rapid Charge Express. It delivers up to 3 hours of usage with just 14 minutes of charging. Lenovo says that on a full charge, it gives just about 14.5 hours of usage time.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon itself weighs about 1.1 kg. It is 14.9m thick and supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth V5.1, 2 USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen2, PD 3.0, DisplayPort 1.4), and audio combo jack.
The 14-inch Yoga Slim 7 Carbon laptop (called IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon in North America) will start at $1,289.99 and is expected to be available starting October 2021.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro
The Yoga Slim 7 Pro sports a 16-inch touch screen display with QHD resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, up to 500nits brightness, optional 120Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color gamut. It comes with VEGA certification for DisplayHDR 400 and TÜV Eye Comfort certification.
The 16″ Yoga Slim 7 Pro feature in Ryzen 7 5800H processor with up to NVIDIA RTX 3050 GPU options. It has 16GB dual channel DDR4 RAM with 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD storage space.
The laptop is 75Wh battery and supports Rapid Charge Boost fast charging. The laptop itself weighs about 2.1 Kg and is 17.4mm thick at its thinnest point. It runs on Windows 11 OS out of the box.
The laptop has built-in Alexa, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth V5.1, 2 x USB 3.2 Type-A, USD Card, HDMI, USB Type-C (full function) and audio jack. It has Dolby Atmos support.
The 16-inch Yoga Slim 7 Pro laptop (called IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro in North America) will start at $1,449 and is expected to be available on Lenovo.com starting October 2021.
Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook (13”, 6)
The IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook is convertible chromebook tablet cum laptop. It is 7.24mm thick while its tablet weighs 700 grams.
It comes with 13.3-inch OLED display offering Full HD resolution, 400nits brightness, 100% DCI-P3 colors and 91% screen-to-body ratio.
Powering inside is Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 Compute platform with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. It supports up to 256GB eMMC SSD storage space and boots on Google Chrome OS.
The IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook feature a 42WHr battery with Rapid Charge and up to 15 hours of battery life. It has support for Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth V5.1, USI 1.0 Stylus support, Google Assistant and two USB 3.0 Type-C. It has Pogo pins as well.
