Earlier this month, LG confirmed that its upcoming smartphone, the G8 ThinQ will have 3D ToF cameras for face unlock. Today, LG has revealed that G8 ThinQ will feature in Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology.
The Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology makes use of phone’s OLED display as an audio amplifier. It is developed in-house by LG where CSO uses OLED display as a diaphragm, vibrating the entire surface to produce sound (even at high volumes). Apart from the volume, it offers improved clarity and delivers subtle musical notes.
This is not the only thing. The LG G8 ThinQ does have a speaker mode, where high quality audio with impressive bass is delivered from the bottom speaker. The handset can also offer 2-channel full-bodies stereo performance by utilizing the bottom speaker and the top part of the display.
For further audio enhancements, LG has been working closely with its audio partners Meridian to bring exceptional sound fidelity and delivering fine-tuned audio to its consumers. Some of the key audio features of LG G8 ThinQ include –
- DTS:X 3D Surround Sound that emulates a 7.1-channel system with or without earphones, a first for LG
- Hi-Fi Quad DAC that elevates the listening experience by reproducing sound with exceptional fidelity and the added ability to up-sample most audio files for increased clarity and depth
- Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) that supports high-quality audio streaming even without an unlimited data plan
- Boombox Speaker that takes advantage of the internal space of the phone as a resonance chamber to generate amazing bass and more volume
