Xiaomi’s Redmi Brand has announced Redmi Note 9S, company’s latest smartphone under its Redmi Note 9 Series. The handset is basically a rebranded version of Redmi Note 9 Pro.
The phone comes with 8.8 mm thickness and houses dedicated dual Nano SIM slots and MicroSD card slot. It comes with side mounted fingerprint sensor and boots on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top.
The Redmi Note 9s specs include 6.67-inch multi-touch LCD display with FHD+ resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well.
At its core is an octa-core Snapdragon 720G SoC. The smartphone comes in options of 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM with 128G ROM. It has a powerful 5020mAh (typical) Lithium-Ion Polymer battery with 18W fast charging support. Company has included 22.5W wire charger inside though.
Selfie fanatics are greeted with 16MP front camera with AI Silhouette detection, AI Beautify, AI portrait mode, AI Scene detection and HDR. At the back side is a quad-camera setup of 48MP (main) + 8MP (ultra-wide-angle) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) sensors.
The Redmi Note 9S 4GB/64GB price is RM 799 / SGD299 / THB 6499 / USD 249 while its 6GB/128GB variant costs RM 899 / SGD349 / THB 7999 / USD 279. It comes in Interstellar Grey, Aurora Blue and Glacier White colors. Global availability will be on April 7th.
