Reliance Jio has launched its new budget laptop in India called Jio Book. It is priced at Rs. 19,500 and is available at Government e-Marketplace GeM. Notably, this laptop is available only for Government employees at the moment and is expected to be available for masses soon.
Reliance JioBook specs and features
The main highlight of JioBook laptop is the support for in-built 4G LTE connectivity. It comes in Blue color and sports a ABS plastic built with metallic hinges. Aesthetically, it looks like a normal laptop with Jio branding at back and on Windows key.
The Reliance JioBook feature a 11.6-inch TN display that offers 1366 x 768 pixels HD resolution. Unlike usual Intel / AMD chipsets, this one comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC (SM6125) with Adreno 610 GPU.
There is just 2GB LPDDR4X (1866MHz) RAM which sadly is non expandable. Another thing that is low is its 32GB eMMC on-board storage space. It runs on company’s proprietary JioOS out of the box. You only get one USB 2.0, one USB 3.0 and a single HDMI port.
For connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth V5.0 and MicroSD card slot. There are dual -speakers with dual microphones and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is a standard keyboard which is spill resistant and houses touch pad with gesture controls.
The total weight of JioBook s 1.0 to 1.2 Kg. It integrates a 55.1Wh Li-ion battery that offers 6.1 to 8 hours of battery life.
