Chinese company VIVO has officially announced VIVO Y83 smartphone in China. It was spotted at TENAA earlier this month.
It is also world’s first smartphone to feature octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The mobile runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The VIVO Y83 specs include 6.22-inch IPS display with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and multi-touch support. It is worth noting that it comes with a notch and sports minimum bezels.
The mobile phone measures 155.21 x 75.24 x 7.7 mm and weighs 150 grams. It has 8MP front facing camera with F/2.2 Aperture and AI Beauty features. It also supports Face Unlock. At the back side is 13MP primary camera with LED Flash, F/2.2 Aperture, Auto Focus and 1080p video recording support.
For smooth performance, Y83 features in 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space. The device also allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card. It has 3260 mAh typical battery capacity which should last you a day.
Coming to connectivity, the cell phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0 and GPS. It also houses Gravity sensor, Photosensitive sensor and virtual gyroscope.
The VIVO Y83 price is China is set at 1498 Yuan (US$ 235 / Rs. 15,900 approx.) and comes Black, Aurora White and Red colors.
