Corning Gorilla Glass protection is one the best solution out there and to make it even better, Corning has unveiled Gorilla Glass Victus for Mobile Consumer Electronics.
Providing additional durability of smartphones and with the analyzed feedback received from more than 90,000 consumers, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus came into being, which is toughest Gorilla Glass yet.
In lab tests, Gorilla Glass Victus survived drops of up to 2 meters on hard and rough surfaces. Usually, competitive aluminosilicate glasses from other manufacturers typically fail when dropped from less than 0.8 meters.
Additionally, Gorilla Glass Victus is provides double improvement in scratch resistance when compared with Gorilla Glass 6. It is 4X better that other aluminosilicate glasses.
John Bayne, senior vice president and general manager, Mobile Consumer Electronics said –
“Corning’s extensive consumer research has shown that improved drop and scratch performance are key components of consumer purchasing decisions. Dropped phones can result in broken phones, but as we developed better glasses, phones survived more drops but also showed more visible scratches, which can impact the usability of devices. Instead of our historic approach of asking our technologists to focus on a single goal – making the glass better for either drop or scratch – we asked them to focus on improving both drop and scratch, and they delivered with Gorilla Glass Victus.”
