Godaddy has entered into an agreement to purchase FreedomVoice for US$ 42 Million in Cash. Company has also agreed to pay additional US$ 5 Million in potential milestones payments in future. Company’s team and its cloud based communications product will join Godaddy.
FreedomVoice offers a custom cloud number (local, toll-free, vanity) that automatically routes business calls to users mobile phone. It also has cloud-based phone system that delivers enterprise quality VOIP for small offices. It also offers customized customer care from knowledgeable experts.
With this acquisition, GoDaddy now provides another essential service for small businesses and organizations to create and maintain their digital identity, further adding voice services to naming, presence and productivity.
Godaddy has recently created a new Telephone Business unite to oversee company’s communication products strategy and execution, including products of FreedomVoice. Barry Saik, GM and Senior Vice President of Telephony will lead the unit. Mr. homas will become Telephony Revenue and Integration Officer.
FreedomVoice products will be available online and via partners. Godaddy also plans to deliver new cloud-based voice products in near future.[notice]
