Just yesterday, we revealed several photos of Nubia Red Devil gaming phone. Ahead of today’s announcement, Nubia NX609J has made its way at GeekBench. It is believed to be model number of this gaming handset.
To our surprise, the handset is powered by by octa-core (2.35GHz Kryo 280 x 4 + 1.9GHz Kryo 280 x 4) Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
This is a let-down as recently announced Black Shark Gaming phone came with Snapdragon 845 SoC. Although, the chipset is decently powerful enough, it more or less competes with Razer phone in terms of performance.
The Nubia NX609J Red Devil (Red Magic) features in 8GB RAM according to GeekBench. Talking about the scores, it managed to get 1944 points in single core and 6745 points in multi-core tests. These scores are fairly similar to Razer phone’s scores as they have the same chipset.
The Nubia Red Magic’s gaming phone NX609J is slated to go official on April 19th, which is later today. We should get official details soon, so stay tuned.
