Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Specifications and Features

Qualcomm has officially announced its first 5G Chipset in its Snapdragon 400 Series called Snapdragon 480. It is aimed at mid-range smartphones.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC is based at 8nm process technology and supports display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to FHD+ resolution.

The SoC consists of total eight cores clocked at up to 2GHz and is paired with Adreno 619 GPU. Qualcomm claims up to 100% performance improvements in CPU and GPU.

It has bundled Qualcomm AI engine which offers up to 70% AI performance boost when compared with predecessor. The Snapdragon 480 has Snapdragon X51 5G Modem-RF system for 5G coverage.

The Snapdragon 480 SoC features in Wi-Fi 6 and also integrates Bluetooth V5.1. It also supports dual frequency GPS (L1+L5) / GNSS and NavIC. The chipset has support for NFC as well.
