MediaTek has just announced its latest SoC called Helio P25. It is based on 16nm TSMC FinFET Process and has MediaTek Imagiq Image Signal Processor (ISP) same as P20.
Unlike its predecessor, the Helio P25 chipset up to dual 13MP cameras and are optimized for Color + Mono de-noise, real-time shallow DOF bokeh and Video HDR (with full preview). It also supports a single 24MP camera w/ZSD, 12bit ISP and 3A HW engine to accelerate AE convergence speed by 30-55%.
It can decode 4Kx2K at 30fps H.264, HEVC and video encode 4Kx2K at 30fps H.264. The Helio P25 can handle 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60fps and also supports 2x DSI for dual display.
The SoC features in 8 Cortext-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.5GHz, A 0.2GHz increase than Helio P20. The chipset is backed by ARM Mali-T880 dual GPU (clocked at up to 900MHz) for grpahics. Up to 6GB of LPDDR4X memory and eMMC 5.1 storage is supported as well.
It also supports FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE, R.11 Cat6 speeds etc. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (with MT6630 SoC), Bluetooth, GPS/GLONASS, FM Radio etc.

We can expect smartphones running on MediaTek Helio P25 SoC to be available sometime in Q1, 2017.
