Qualcomm expands its Snapdragon 600 Series mobile processor lineup with the launch of its latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G mobile Platform (SM6350).
The Snapdragon 690 SoC is based on 8nm process technology and includes two Kryo 560 prime cors and six Kryo 560 efficiancy cores. The chipset is paired with 5th Generation Qualcomm AI Engine and Adreno 619L GPU.
Qualcomm claims that CPU offers 20% performance improvement while its new GPU gives 60% fast graphics rendering when compared to Snapdragon 675 SoC.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G SoC also houses Snapdragon X51 5G Modem-RF system for 5G coverage. It has support for Bluetooth V5.1, Wi-Fi 6 and NavIC GPS positioning.

Smartphones with Snapdragon 690 SoC will be out in H2 2020. Qualcomm has confirmed about 1800 devices in-line which are powered by Snapdragon 6-series. Chip maker has also confirmed that HMD Global, LG, Motorola, Sharp, T CL and Wingtech are among the first OEMs/ODMs to announce Snapdragon 690 powered devices.
